The EST80 is a masterclass of how to make an immersive sounding IEM without BC drivers. Penon always makes IEMs for actual music listeners, much less for folks that analyze music. They might as well be the bees knees cus they bring it in every way possible. A higher level of polish, a higher level of dynamic sonic information that let you be lost in your music. And is that not the real reason why we get into personal audio in the first place? I know there is stiff competition at this price range but until someone does one better these will clearly be my bench for musicality. There will be IEMs that bring even more detail and even better crystalized imaging but for actual musical listening? Ya right. Absolutely love the sound these things produce. And I have no shame in just saying that.
